UDM-SE

Pros

• The Pro Max Switch is then connected to my UDM-SE, also via SFP at 10G.
• UDM-SE has built in storage, so it shouldn’t matter either way on the SE
• I'm fully vested into UniFi equipment and will be using their Camera System, Video Doorbell, Access Points and UniFi Protect with my UDM SE.
• I have a similar set up with the SE and it hasn’t seemed like a bottleneck
• UDM-SE, USW Flex 2.5G, and two U7 Pro APs around the house.

Cons

• the UDM Pro/SE doesn't have enough processing power to do more than 3.5 gbps IDS. It's the official number and independent tests confirm it's pretty accurate to reality.
• You need UDM SE to power up
• the UDM SE might be overkill for me?
• From the reviews I've read, the switching capacity of the UDM-SE is very limiting. It's also a bit dated and the entire UDM line-up is due for a refresh.
• The UDM SE does nothing for you, you're not using the PoE nor the onboard NVR.
