UDM Pro Max

Pros

• If you're going to be running a ton of devices, all the apps, and everything else memory intensive, but you have <2Gbps Internet, get the UDM Pro Max. The 8GB versus 3GB of RAM will help there.
• UDM pro max is a better ver. of the UDM pro
• I bought the UDM Pro Max as I have six 4k cameras and three 2K ones. Think on the spec sheet it recommended no more than 5. Also wanted the dual HDD bays and front screen.
• I run a UDM Pro Max (have quite a few 4k cameras)
• So the Pro Max is a great box, but in my opinion if you don't have a rack it's a bit of a gawdy beast.

Cons

• Parent context: Is the Pro Max a significant upgrade over the UDM SE? Reply: Depends on what you're using it for. The main advantages seem to be the second HDD slot and double the IPS/IDS performance. No PoE though.

• Just FYI that second HDD slot can only be used for redundancy. No extra storage.
