Pros
- One vote for the Toshi. I just got it but it’s awesome.
- Parent context: I agree the magnetic sternum strap on the Aer is a nice feature. For those like me that rarely use sternum straps, the Toshi lets you easily remove (and put back) the straps which is a nice option. Reply: I agree the magn...
- Toshi is definitely the most comfortable out of the bunch.
- They are talked about a lot! But for good reason. They make excellent bags!
- Without having one, the Toshi has moved to my default rec for EDC/work backpack. 2x bottle pockets, laptop compartment, lots of features, and stands on its own.
Cons
- The rework toshi and the Evergoods CTB20 or 26 might also be good alternatives.
- From the reviews I've seen, Toshi products have good functionality, style is lacking though that is subjective and materials are not as premium as other carry brands.
- Might make the Toshi come out on top for me especially since the commuters hard back and external water bottle holder aren’t ideal for me.
- I'm curious what drove you to pick this bag over some of the similar ones like CPP2 and Toshi (besides the wait time to get them).
- I was looking at Toshi, but strap is suppoedly abrasive (and it's OOS).

I don't think I'll ever use it again because of how excellent the Toshi is in every way. My favorite part about the Toshi is the quick access pocket. It only goes down about 2.5 inches, which makes grabbing anything inside quick and easy.
The rework toshi and the Evergoods CTB20 or 26 might also be good alternatives.
That was my Toshi in your photos! I'm so glad you made one for yourself, too! I love the colors you chose. They pop off the black Toshi!
If I could get away with the size, I'd have a preorder for the Toshi. That design and layout looks fantastic for a tidy work backpack.
I'm going with the Toshi as it checks all the boxes for me aside from being able to fly on its own. lol
