Pros

  • i actually bought this bag because of the flap. allows me to run a cable with the zipper mostly closed but without an exposed hole.
  • This sling is by far my favorite so far and will be my go to for traveling.
  • The Toshi Sling 6L is also worth considering
  • Parent context: Curious to know if it feels bulky with your tablet after fully packing it out Reply: It doesn't make the bag bulky, it just makes the backside taller/flatter if that makes any sense. 😅
  • The advantage of the Toshi is really more organization and that optional external strap for an umbrella, a tripod, or a water bottle.

Cons

  • You may not be able to fit much else in.
  • I find the strap pad annoying...being removable the strap doesn't fit flush in the pad causing the strap to angle away from the pad when carried crossbodied. So I don't use the pad. Also one of the main compartment zippers gets a bit stu...

I find the strap pad annoying...being removable the strap doesn't fit flush in the pad causing the strap to angle away from the pad when carried crossbodied. So I don't use the pad. Also one of the main compartment zippers gets a bit stuck at a corner.

Parent context: That's awesome! What are your first impressions? Hopefully it maintains a slim silhouette, but keen to see a full pack out in further pics Reply: In comparison to what I have right now, aer definitely feels more premium. I like the nylon strap, it's smooth and doesn't feel cheap. The included padded shoulder strap was a nice addition, but it's kinda loose so it moves alot when you try to adjust the bag. Top handle feels meh, honestly think it won't age well because of the material but it's too early to tell and I'm no expert in bag materials.

Got the Toshi Sling V2 6L earlier! Quite surprised that a shop in the Philippines (which Toshi itself recommended, by the way) has this on hand, and cheaper too!

Yes the Toshi Sling 6L seems designed around the 11" iPad, while the 5L lists compatibility with the iPad Mini.
