Pros
- We also went to the Tate Modern from 7pm to 9pm on a Saturday ... It was surprisingly not too busy. Plenty of space to view all the galleries and it was nice and cool throughout the building.
- Tate Modern is very good
- I've been recommended the Hunterian Museum and Tate Modern for art
- Tate Modern building is quite cool. Modern art not really my thing, but they have a good collection.
- For a view, the Tate Modern has a high up cafe across the River.
Cons
- I think I would be mostly interested in the permanent collection at the Tate Modern, and perhaps not so much some of the exhibits.
- Also Tate Modern is an impressive building and the location near Tower Bridge was fun. But we did not enjoy the collection at all. Grim, dismal, depressing were some of our responses.
- Tate Modern houses modern and contemporary art created from or after 1900.
- I think Tate modern is probably too modern for 1800s but most other museums seem to focus on older art?

Also take the kids into the Tate Modern turbine hall, it's a massive, cool space.
There are the two Tates, so Modern and Britain. I prefer the Modern but Britain is cool too.

Go to the Tate Modern (free), explore the South Bank, catch a show at Shakespeare’s Globe.
