Seville is too big and to far away to be able to visit it properly in just one day.

You can very easily stay in Seville, and from there using it as a home base go and visit Madrid and Barcelona. That’s what we did when I did a study abroad but we were there for 2 months. With only 7 days of course you will be limited in what you will see. Madrid has the national art museums, the royal palace etc. Sevilla has some great churches, museums, and a few filming locations from Star Wars and game of thrones and is within drivin distance of other Spanish towns that have magnificent churches. Barcelona has the Sagrada Família, the Olympic park, and the bunker park. I think it really boils down to what kind of attractions are most important to you.
I didn't expect to love it as much as I did. 100% my favorite city in Spain.
Seville was incredible. The orange and jasmine smells in the historic district as soon as we got out of our taxi to walk to our hotel were unreal.
Sevilla’s one of the most beautiful cities I’ve ever been to! Last September I stayed in Cádiz for a few days and had a half day in Sevilla (on my way to Madrid) so I could just walk around for a few hours and relive my trip in 2023. I can’t wait to go back in the future.
The only thing I’d swap is Valencia for Sevilla, as Sevilla is absolutely amazing (and you can include visiting Alcazar etc) but other than that it sounds good 👍🏻
Also know that Seville in July is HOT.
Finally, Seville for April 1–4 works nicely. By then you’ll return the car, and Seville is easy to explore on foot. Even if you’re not into museums, just walking through neighborhoods like Triana and along the river is a beautiful experience.
Sevilla needs more time as you can visit cordoba or Grenada for the day and get more Spain experience in without the long travel days.
