Pros

• It’s a good, gradual introduction to N3 but if you want take the JLPT, you should absolutely supplement.
• Buy textbooks like Genki 1 (N5), Genki 2 (N4), Quartet 1 (N3) and Quartet 2 (N2).
• after that either Tobira or Quartet. Even if you already know 80% of the contents at least you'll have learned 20% new things.
• I just helped my friends 13 year old daughter through genki 1, 2, and quartet in a year and she confidently took the n3 recently.
• Textbooks beyond genki 2, you can continue structured learning. Textbooks beyond genki 2 would be tobira intermediate (theyre recently splitting their old book into 2 parts. The first part is out now), quartet, and minna no nihongo chuuk...
