MNN has 2 student textbooks, a main book that's entirely in Japanese and a separate translation book that's in the student's native language. The series is designed that way so students with different native languages can be in the same class together. You'll also need the teacher's book. There's also a work book that I recommend you get so you're not making worksheets from scratch.

Im sure tobira, minna no nihongo, japanese for busy people, etc all have their own topics of transitive vs intransitive that they introduce with corresponding textbook and workbook practice
