Q990 series

Q990 is going to be a better value, especially at discount, if you’re looking for soundbar+sub+surround.

The Q990 series is slightly better in my experience. If you can afford it, and have looked at how much larger the soundbar itself is and can fit it in your room, I'd go for the Q990.

Recommendations: Q930 or Q990 series (C/D/F).

Typically, when people ask what's the best soundbar here, the answer is the Q990 series.

That said, the Q990 series is still one of the best plug and play sound systems you can buy, and it should not sound like “slightly upgraded tv speakers”. I have the Q990D, and it sounds better than going to the movie theater.

The reason Q990 series is so popular is the value. Most people probably get it on sale and not MSRP.

Sonos is a great system but the Q990 series takes the cake here across the board:

The Q990 series isn't my first choice, but it is hands down the best value. Can't even argue that.

Dont get me wrong, the Q990 series are pound for pound the best you can get. But those Sony systems are definitely better.

I’d probably suggest the Q990 series purely for budgetary reasons.
