Natural History Museum

Pros

• Yes if you get there for opening you should have a quieter first hour. Some exhibitions sell special early bird event tickets which are well worth it.
• If you go term time and get there early it’s fine.
• Parent context: I'm wondering if we plan to arrive right at opening (10 am) on a weekday and plan to do a fairly quick visit (perhaps an hour) if it would still be too crowded to be enjoyable Reply: Did this exactly a couple months back....
• The museum of Natural History is fabulous and also has an outdoor garden you can access without a museum ticket.
• I loved the Natural History Museum

Cons

• Natural History Museum is too busy in my opinion, you are just constantly dodging schoolchildren from all corners of the world.
• TBH would not plan on much time at the Natural History Museum (hot and crowded)
• Several people commented that it's quite crowded and therefore not worth visiting.
• N' History Museum - it's cool and the building is lovely. Would I spend a lot of time there? Maybe not unless you are deeply into that stuff. I find it a little kid focused and a little dated at times.
• Parent context: My husband loves natural history museums, it's always a big highlight for him. Reply: Just saying…if you thought London was crowded, Natural History will just solidify that.
