Kew Gardens

take the Thames River boats (Not the uber clipper ones) the opposite way and to Kew Pier and spend the day at Kew Gardens

Kew Gardens... it's wonderful, but a little further out and worth taking time over.

I recommend going to Kew a gardens right from the airport. You can stow your bags and spend day outdoors which is great for getting acclimated to the time difference

Kew Gardens if you're into plants, winding up in Richmond (beautiful enormous park and Richmond town centre has great vibes

I also love going to Kew Gardens & having tea at Maids of Honour afterwards.

Kew will be best part of a day and well worth it if gardens are your thing.

Last year I did Richmond and Kew gardens which gave me a better appreciation for London than a big bustle.

Instead of Richmond you might consider Kew Gardens, as I’m trying to think of playgrounds in Richmond and there are not loads near the river.

Kew Gardens has a Christmas festival in December, check tickets and the coffee shop is lovely, you might get your afternoon tea there.
