Pros
- Single person here, I'm happy with my Yum Asia panda.
- Panda is has a minimum of half a cup of rice.
- I’ve had the Yum Asia Panda for about 4 years now and it’s been great. 3.5 cup capacity and $100.
- Maybe the Yum Asia Panda would have been a better choice for you. It is bigger, but not a large counter footprint.
- I went with non-IH because of some reports that the IH versions made notable noise. ... I have a Panda, thought about a Tsuki -- seems to work great.
Cons
- My Panda wasn't able to do half a cup properly either, I usually made at least a whole cup in that.
- Apparently you cannot wash rice in the pot, which I didn’t know, and the ceramic coating came off. I got very annoyed and decided to buy a Tatung with a stainless steel inner bowl instead

Friend of mine loves his Yum Asia Panda.
I'm a big fan of the Yum Asia Panda is 3.5 cups so depending on how much rice you typically eat it might be enough.
I'm my first month with their Panda model, as I didn't want any more Teflon in this world. I'm liking it. Easy to clean, a lot of useful functions, and the timer is a game changer. I tend to lower the water some from the official measurements, but that might be the rice. Even includes a steel steamer tray. Worth the $100.
