Pros

  • Windows 11 24H2 → also works

Cons

  • With Windows 11 24H2 and KB5063878 I get 0x80240069 vis WSUS and also via Online Update search. German version, Domain-joined. Seems wuauserv is crashing.
  • On the 24H2 machine I changed the entry to a Decimal value of 28 and rebooted the workstation. I am now able to access the Sysvol share on the DCs and User Policies are being applied. However Computer Policies are not being applied. ......
  • I know 24H2 has been giving people problems and I'm wondering if anyone has found a fix for the issue we're seeing because nothing I've googled and tried has worked. We have 2022 Domain Controllers so I'm not sure if that is part of this...
  • Are you deploying Windows 11 24H2 and rely on AppLocker to enforce ConstrainedLanguage mode on PowerShell scripts as part of your security controls? Because it sure looks like the PowerShell host is not enforcing this and every script ru...
  • Freezes sounds like windows 11 24h2. Came out to most people about a month ago and just caused no end of stutters and headaches for people. I'd been playing POE 2 for months, and after that update I was crashing 5 times per night. POE2 r...

On the 24H2 machine I changed the entry to a Decimal value of 28 and rebooted the workstation. I am now able to access the Sysvol share on the DCs and User Policies are being applied. However Computer Policies are not being applied. ... So it's better, but not at 100% yet.

I know 24H2 has been giving people problems and I'm wondering if anyone has found a fix for the issue we're seeing because nothing I've googled and tried has worked. We have 2022 Domain Controllers so I'm not sure if that is part of this issue or not. But so far it seems as soon as we upgrade 23H2 to 24H2 the machine stops being able to talk to the domain properly.

Are you deploying Windows 11 24H2 and rely on AppLocker to enforce ConstrainedLanguage mode on PowerShell scripts as part of your security controls? Because it sure looks like the PowerShell host is not enforcing this and every script runs as FullLanguage - ie it's completely broken.

Freezes sounds like windows 11 24h2. Came out to most people about a month ago and just caused no end of stutters and headaches for people. I'd been playing POE 2 for months, and after that update I was crashing 5 times per night. POE2 released a fix but 24h2 has been a nightmare

But since 24H2, it had gotten so worse, that i am really pissed. I work in a team where i am creating, configuring, deploying thousands of OS Versions. From 10, 11, Windows Server, all are included. In this case, i started to work on upgrading existing Windows 11 23H2 Installations to 11 24H2. ... The initial inplace-upgrade worked, BUT the client is NEVER ABLE TO PATCH AGAIN ANY UPDATE.

Parent context: I already rolled back 24h2 and reinstalled 23h2 fresh. That update is such a disaster and made my system incredibly unstable. Reply: Unfortunately many people including me had blue screen and instability issues caused by the update, and many games act erratically because of it, including path of exile 2, so rolling back was the best choice. It's a broken update by Microsoft's own admission, so I'm staying away from it.
