UniFi Travel Router

Pros

• To connect the UniFi Travel Router to a guest network, open the UniFi Mobile App and select a nearby wireless network. If the network has a captive portal, it will automatically forward to your mobile device for login.
• The new $80 Travel Router seems like a cool little device.
• Not bad for $79. It will compete pretty strongly with the GL.iNet stuff (which I love).
• its a perfect replacement for the glinet that I already use, but I don't need a replacement.

Cons

• In no world is this a great price compared to what's out there. I have a full Unifi stack (UDM/enterprise 24 poe/nvr/enterprise APs/cameras) and at $80 this still doesn't make sense.
• It's actually pretty scammy of Ubiquiti to imply it has 5G built in from the video. I almost impulse-bought this but I came to the forums to check first. 99% of people watching the video would assume this is a mobile 5G travel router.
• Parent context: What are the use cases of travel routers? I was looking at buying a Gl.iNet one from Amazon during the Black Friday sales but only out of curiosity. Reply: Meh, it's only WiFi 5
