Not everything is "woke" just because they feature black people. They had numerous issues clearly, and they were more of a blending house than an actual distillery, but let's stick to the facts, not your feelings.

The whiskey wasn’t bad, but wasn’t worth the mark up, pretty surprising they’d squander the business like that though.
The whiskey is expensive, lacks transparency, and in some cases is outright misleading in labeling.
I had a local shop convince me to buy a bottle of Uncle Nearest. Said it was much better than it's price point. Was disappointed and have never given them a second look.
Their products were nothing special and it seems like they were scum bags.
