• I have the trio setup and before it went on sale I was looking at quads vs sonos. But when they dropped the price to be cheaper than sonos I went for it. Its a fantastic system
• I went out and purchased the Trios/Rear9 and Sub9… ALL I CAN SAY IS WOW…. That center really makes a difference. I love the Trios so much I’ve put an ad up here in Reddit to sell my Quads at a lost
• The Sony Trio System feels like a mini AVR... The Front Stage Sound really reminded me of Sonos if it had a 3 speaker front - it’s hyper clear and loud and does a great job at separating sound without too much bleed in.

Cons

• Sony trio is getting middling reviews and is also very pricey.
• Well you’ll notice a difference for sure between left and right with the trio. However, I don’t think the $2199 is a good deal for it. I’d personally wait for it to go back on sale again down to $1500 or so
• The Trio is enticing and can sound great, but it’s too erratic and is all over the place.
• The only thing I’d say I really hate about the trio is where the the HDMI cable has to go in on the center bar. It’s in the super awkward corner spot that if you’re swapping from one to another to test it out it’s a real pain in the ass...
• The TRIO is on a huge sale, but the center channel is still iffy?
