Pros
- Love my Sony HT-A7000. Good out of the box, feels better than the theatre with a proper set up (detailed walk through on Reddit). I bought the subwoofer a year later and am even more thrilled with the clarity and depth of the system.
- Well the A7000 is discontinued, so you can find it used a lot cheaper. And it stands out above the rest. You can even add dual subs.
- Add the HT-A7000 and now you're talking

Cons
- I have them for my HT-A7000, but I've always had them plugged in so can't speak to battery life or anything.
- I have the Sony HT-A7000 with rears and sub. The upfiring feels like a gimmick on mine if you don’t fine tune it for the ceiling. I don’t have a flat ceiling in my living room and had to fine tune it to compensate.

The A7000 was just so much more dynamic and BIGGER (both in sound and size). The Q990 was nexk and neck with the Sony in several ways, and was much more cinematic that the Arc....it felt and sounded nice but physically just smaller. Didn't fill my room like the other two Reply: The A7000 was just so much more dynamic and BIGGER (both in sound and size).

my HT-A7000 with RS5 rear speakers did a great job with phantom sound and made my basement media room sound a lot bigger than it was.

Hta7000 have 2 hdmi in 2.1, earc, have great sound stage, a lot settings(but no eq), awesome 360 spatial mapping(only with rears, without still great), can connect any wired subwoofer in you need that, support all codecs(include dts).
For $500 sony is absolutely win.
