The actual big designer stores are on Bond Street, Kensington High Street and I’d also suggest Selfridges.
Selfridges is right down the street for shopping.
Book (free) tickets to go to the Selfridges experience and get a London exclusive fish and chips chips / pie plush. It sounds daft but when we did a London trip it was one of the highlights for our kids
Personally I’d not bother with Harrods at all. If you actually want to shop then go to Selfridges.
