Pros
- I’ve liked essentially everything I’ve tried from Rare Character
- I’ve enjoyed with few single barrels I’ve had from them immensely, and are super unique.
- Look into Rare Character, Pablo is one of the best examples of doing this successfully and has done such a good job that they are starting to distill their own spirits. And I can tell you he took that "buffalo trace" barrel or "wild turk...
- Can’t wait to see what else RC has coming. They’re knocking it out of the park.
- Even there single barrels that were only 6 years old from a few years back were absolutely delicious from the two I tried. Augusta and Rare Character are some of the only newer brands I can trust for high prices and quality to match gene...
Cons
- RC makes it nearly impossible to obtain accurate information regarding their various expressions.
- I feel like a lot of rare character is really bad on pricing, distribution and availability.
- RC's rise to fame baffles me. Pablo was a nobody 3-4 years ago. Now everyone wants to kiss his ass for some questionable quality barrel. Unbelievable
- Rare Character is a brand I've often lambasted in my other reviews and articles. Even in my Bourbon Brown Book I give a warning about paying secondary values on their bottles. ... But don't take this as me saying that Rare Character does...
- Yeah the price is very bad and definitely working against them. The two latest Picks have been even more. :(

Rare Character is a brand I've often lambasted in my other reviews and articles. Even in my Bourbon Brown Book I give a warning about paying secondary values on their bottles. ... But don't take this as me saying that Rare Character doesn't bottle some good stuff. I've previously reviewed and enjoyed some of their bottles.
Nice Rare Character lineup, I’ve never give RC a thought but it’s been on my list to try along with Found North
