Pros

  • With PlantUML, Mermaid or any other you can easily create eye catching diagrams, which will keep reader longer. Keep the docs in git and review them with team via pull request
  • Keep an eye out at Ross, they consistently have Fantasia Pop, Fantasia, Mermaid, etc for $16.99
  • Mermaid for mind maps is a great option. I use it a lot and love it.
  • dataflow diagrams are better with mermaid code blocks
  • Mermaid diagrams. Lots and lots and lots of mermaid UML diagrams. I use Copilot to read my repo and generate the mermaid code, then paste it into a code block. I tend to think in UML anyway so it’s nice

Obsidian can render mermaid syntax. Reply: I think thats pretty close. But I cant link the names of the fields and getting to a doc if pushing.

maybe mermaid can do what you want. You also don't need any plugin for that as it is native to Obsidian.
