Meater

Pros

• I've got two and they work great 🤷‍♂️
• Meater (yes, judge me, it's ok) is in and we're in the Traeger!
• Mine's been great as well. I wouldn't have high hopes with this for ambient temperature anyway, but mine works with little or no issue.
• No issues with mine, i keep them within the recommended temperatures, clean them well, and theyve been working for almost 3 yrs now.
• Yea there's a weird anti meater cult here, I've had mine for 5 years and have never had an issue with it, works flawlessly even after being set on fire (oops)

Cons

• Words cannot express my disappointment when I put the probe into a pork butt and closed my Traeger lid and the charger block less than 1 foot away. Phone app says "no connection - move block closer to probe." Uh I don't think it's safe t...
• Anything beats Meater, I swear half the time I have to open my smoker and put my phone on my brisket to get them to connect.
• I have never had connection problems with the RFX like I had with my Meater probes.
• Excellent example of a great looking product, good app, but very poor execution on performance. You take away the connection issue and it flips the reviews completely.
• I’ve had the meater + for a year or two now and have used it (or at least tried to) five or more times, and it has been not just a hassle, but a disaster every time I’ve tried to use it.
