I had an 12100f with 6600c34 ram and an 4090 and it got 170fps in warzone at 1080p low(or whatever as it was cpu bottlenecked) basically worse perf than an 10700k/11700k/12700k with an 3080ti(240fps) at the same settings.

So I'm going to go with a Gigabyte Z490 Aorus model; I found some good deals with an i7 10700k. I'll see if I can find any deals with the i9 10900k, and if not, I'll get the i7.
I did my regular dust and replace thermal paste and noticed my CPU started spiking in heat. I cleaned and replaced the thermal paste again but it kept spiking to 99 and causes terrible performance so I guess I fucked something up.
I had a 3070 with a 10700k and the cpu was the weakest link. I was surprised to find out.
