Cons

  • My current desktop processor is i7 10700KF. I thought id be okay for like 3 or 4 years considering its performance.
  • I know my 10700 is still capable, but so far, as I've seen in other cases, the problem with the 5060 is PCIe 3.0, which is why I was looking for a CPU with PCIe 4.0.
  • So yeah you probably need a faster CPU if you’re not already making that
  • I know the 10700KF is getting a bit "vintage," but for 4K gaming, the load is mostly on the 3080 anyway.
  • It constantly runs at 100% or only letting the GPU runs at like 80% at. Even with frame gen, base FPS is not stable enough for a good experience on my 1440p 240hz OLED.
