Pros

  • I personally have the IHG Premier and World of Hyatt, which I really enjoy, but I have a lot of 1-2 night stays during the year.
  • IHG as a points system is fantastic and I have the IHG Premier twice (personal and business).
  • IHG Premier is also great for the FNA, TSA/Global Entry credit and Platinum status (especially if you don’t get the Reserve), and 4th night free when booking with points.
  • 175k SUB is attractive, and I can eventually get this card to hold, but it’s not top priority
  • IHG Premier also gives 5x on gas. Bonvoy Boundless does 3x on first $6000 annually for gas, groceries, and dining, then 2x after.

Cons

  • You don't need IHG Premier if you have the CSR. ... Your 4x hotel earning on the CSR at 2.0cpp for UR is a much better earn rate than IHG Premier considering IHG currency is worth about 0.5cpp.
  • IHG Premier (would get rn if it had the 3 free nights SUB again)

The thing that I love from this card is when you book a room for 4 nights the 4 night is free so you get 4 nights for the price of 3 and you don't see too many people talking about these benefit.

The IHG Premier is a keeper card for me because of the annual free night, which I tend to use when I have to stay at locations with higher hotel costs.

Personally, I value the SUB for this card pretty highly since I tend to stay at budget hotels. This meant that the points got me many more nights than free night certificates would have. Platinum staus also means that the 4th night is free for any point bookings.
