This was one of the first things I did to my HZ7 when I got it last week. ... The tuners were quite stiff initially which made it difficult to tune with how little space there is to grip them, but after installing the bearings it's much better.
Man, I love the HZ7 so much, that im getting the HZ8.
Neck is pretty solid, I was a bit concerned about the radius while waiting for my order to be delivered as I pre ordered it, but it's really good imo. Stock pickups are ok... Overall, very happy with the Hils quality, would totally recommend it to a friend
I'd describe the neck as a medium thin modern C, with medium flatness... it's honestly very comfortable with the profile used. Stock pickups are fine, good clarity and output but they need a bit of EQ to reduce the bass levels. It's a great cheap guitar for entry to the headless, 7 string, and fan frets world.
