Pros
- Been playing all sorts of guitars for 9 years but this one has been the most comfortable for me. ... The neck, body, and fretboard just feel so comfortable for this kind of playing.
- I am loving my Hils HN5
- My HILs HN5 is the best guitar I've ever owned. I don't play anything else now.
- I’m very pleased with my HILS HN5.
- Owner of a HN5 here, just restringed it 3 days ago. Super easy actually as long as you watch the official youtube video they have. Been playing everyday ever since i restrung it, and it hasn't gone out of tune at all yet!
Cons
- becuse 1st one was defective the company sent another and it has paint problem and another one and last i had enough and returning all of them
- He said he had one but was frustrated with restringing and he couldn't get the strings to the right pitch. ... But he did say tuning is stable once strung properly and no random string breakage.
- The nh5 has a one piece roasted maple neck, the nh 6 has a 5 piece maple and walnut neck.
- I'm torn between Hils hn5 and hn6 I want green guitar so both can do (emerald or chameleon green).

Ordered mine online, initial set up was great. No fret buz or sharp edges. Nice finish. I love the hils for practicing, it almost feels weightless.

I personally don't care for Fishman modern pickups, but I love a good roasted maple neck. I'm not sure if that'd be good enough reason for me to go for the HN6 over the HN5 if I were in the market for a Hils though.
