Pros

  • I have medium and it's still a mild shaver.
  • If you must get a Henson, go with medium or aggressive.
  • Medium is the move especially if shooting for a close shave
  • Definitely go with the medium or aggressive. They are both still good for sensitive skin but just more efficient. Medium is the perfect middle ground.
  • Just bought a medium and once I dialed in the shave experience from beginning to end the medium got better results. how? I got BBS with the mild. With the medium I didn't have to work as much to get it. Both did really well on reducing...

Cons

  • My main comparison points are the razorock Lupo 72 which I love and the game changers 0.76 and 0.84, as well as the Muhle R89, R41 and a Henson Medium.
  • Btw, I bought a Henson mild and the Henson medium. The aluminum feels cheap to me, and I think the fixed blade angle is a gimmick.
  • Parent context: I have both the Henson mild and medium. The medium was my go-to head shaver before I bought the Razorock DAILY standard smooth, now that's my go-to. Same comfort with better weight and efficiency. I much prefer stainless...
  • The medium gives me more of a bbs shave but gives me irritation.

It's really nice. I have the medium and paired with a sharp blade (Astra, Bic, Nacet or Feather) it provides a really good shave and very little irritation. Best in class blade support, light and nimble.

I got a medium recently because I wanted to see if the design of the Henson razors translated to a more comfortable medium-aggressive shave, and I can say that it has. There's more blade feel and some more irritation with some blades, and I'm learning to limit the extra strokes to accommodate that, but I'm liking it so far

Parent context: Did you find the Henson mild to be a little too mild for your head? What did you like about the mild versus the medium and vice versa? Reply: The medium was better but I still find myself wanting to add pressure because of how like Aluminum is, about 1.2oz I believe.
