• My most expensive watch is my Hamilton Murph and I wear it the same way I wear my Seiko 5 which is like 1/9th of the price
• A field watch of some sort. I'm not in your budget range so I'm not as informed, but a Hamilton Murph type of watch.

Cons

• The only thing someone can dislike is the fake patina on the hands and indicies.
• My hot take: neither the regular khaki field nor the murph are Hamiltons most compelling $1000-ish watch.
• Murph or Tissot.
• Parent context: People make that into such a big deal. The lack of anti glare isn’t bad, definitely not a deal breaker for most. Reply: It was a deal breaker for me and I ended up selling it
• Beware the hammy Murph anti glare— Citizen and Seiko both do sapphire glass ar really well and you might not love the Hamilton after this watch.
