Pros

  • Every GPU made in the last two decades should be compatible with that motherboard. Your motherboard was manufactured long after the 5600XT existed.
  • Motherboard: GIGABYTE B550 Eagle

Cons

  • Since my CPU is newer than the motherboard, i have to update the BIOS for them to work together.
  • My motherboard is a relatively old gigabyte b550 eagle and my CPU is a relatively new ryzen 5 5600XT. Could it be that the BIOS of my motherboard is too old to be compatible with my CPU?
  • Motherboard: Gigabyte B550 Eagle $134.99
  • But I’m wondering if the gigabyte b550 eagle (which is an atx and requires a larger case) would suit him better?? I’m wondering if the case size improves airflow for the 2-3 nas drives and if wifi 6 vs 5 is worth it too??
  • The M.2 CPU slot has a heatsink covering it, and the heatsink is screwed in so tightly that none of my screwdrivers can get it out. Am I just stuck with using the slower M.2 slot? It's annoying because I spent a lot of money on the NVME...

The M.2 CPU slot has a heatsink covering it, and the heatsink is screwed in so tightly that none of my screwdrivers can get it out. Am I just stuck with using the slower M.2 slot? It's annoying because I spent a lot of money on the NVME M.2 (especially in this economy). I heard that this is a common problem for Gigabyte motherboards.
