Pros
- I did go with epix and am very happy but would have also been happy w/ the 965.
- Similar features but better build (Epix), but also bigger and heavier.
- The benefits of the Apple ate many. From the speaker, great UI, more effortless importing of GPX, etc. on the other hand the Garmin have better battery life, and most importantly more data such as VO2 max and Cardio Recovery during cycli...
- Yesterday I did intervals and HR seems pretty accurate
- Parent context: Hey bro, can you tell me should I buy the Epix pro gen 2 47mm? Because I'm confused and there are lot of complaints on the forums that there are HR consistency issues on Epix pro. ... Reply: Don't overthink it man. I neve...
Cons
- It’s my understanding that the Epix Pro 2 likely won’t be receive many (if any) future updates, so it doesn’t seem to make sense when I think about future proofing.
- My Epix Pro 2 does occasionally cadence lock. It's also far inferior for tracking lifting sessions.
- I got it a week ago, will return it. I got white at $580 and the ultra fit band for $40. its about $660 all in and for a "2 year old" device that still lags a little bit scrolling throught the menus.
- I was looking to buy the epix pro gen 2 but I saw in a forum that it will not be getting any new software updates instead for some bug fixes.
- The epix pro gen 2 is more smartwatch (Apple Watch with FR255) but is bulkier.

The Epix Pro 2 is very good value. (You are looking at the Pro version I assume)
I bought an Epix Pro 2 earlier this year for a very good price. But I bought it fully knowing it was considered “end of life” by Garmin.
