Epix Pro

Pros

• I’ve got an Epix pro and it’s great for workouts. I wear and Apple Watch when I’m not doing serious workouts though so I don’t mind that the Epix is chunky.
• Yes the EPIX pro has mil-810gtd certification with means it's very resistant to everything environment, it's rouged and has the same battery than frnix 8, in fact the same hardware, the fenix 8 is an EPIX pro with new software firmware
• Yeah the gen 5 is definitely better, I switched from a 945 to Epix Pro and the difference is noticeable especially during intervals. Still not perfect but way less of those random 180+ spikes that make no sense
• I have an epix pro since one year, and I see a better improvement in the HR monitor, more fast response in intervals, about 1 min long near as a chest strap
• I've ordered and just received my Epix Pro. Honestly, it looks cool. Will be rocking it daily.

Cons

• I had a Epix Gen 2, then an Epix Pro, and always struggled to read it under the sun when hiking / walking in summer.
• Parent context: Models like the Epix Pro and Fenix 7 Pro are being neglected in this way, while Garmin prioritises the … Reply: Hello from my Epix pro Forgotten and ignored
• The only thing to keep in mind is that the Epix Pro won't get any new features as Garmin moved on to the Fenix 8 line... Bugfix updates will come, though...
• I’m disappointed with how Garmin dead-ended the Epix Pro line — not even two years ago these watches were sold at premium prices (€1200+), and now they’re treated like outdated hardware with zero major updates.
• I have the 955, when to an Epix Pro and I’m back with the 955 for the MIP screen.
