I love the Doona - it’s amazing for traveling. My baby has sat in it on airplane seats, I’ve gate checked it, we’ve used it in Ubers and rental cars, and it’s a good stroller for airports. 10/10 recommend as long as you travel a bit.
I don’t use it when I’m not traveling, too heavy for day to day use
Safety wise, not worth it. In fact, in Canada, they’re banned because they don’t meet their safety requirements.
I think the Doona is one of the best baby products we had when we had our first. It was very hard for us as first time parents to get out of the house and the Doona made things extremely simple. ... It was great for the frequent doctor appointments in the early days, too. We used it on multiple planes and it was GREAT for airport travel and for having on trips.
It's definitely helpful, the best use case was when baby was dragged along for daycare pickup and drop-off for his older siblings, especially if he was napping. It's not how I would choose to spend $600, but it's definitely a good product, especially if you envision bringing baby on lots of trips that involve getting in and out of a car a lot
Okay I have a Donna but it is one of my biggest parenting pet peeves. THE DOONA IS A CAR SEAT ON WHEELS NOT A STROLLER!!! ... It was super convenient for getting through the airport especially when I was alone BUT I always traveled with our Joolz stroller also.
I used for my kid till 11 months old, only switched over in summer because where we live is hot and I felt the doona was too hot vs a convertible.
Also super heavy compared to say a Nuna car seat that you can pop out easily under 8lbs of car seat weight
It's really more of a back saver than anything… I'm 5'0 and I love being able to get her out of the car and roll her to where I need to go… especially since I had a c-section.
Why is the baby sitting so low to the ground and why is the handle so short? … my tall husband needs to be able to push it!
