Both are world class watches obviously, but for me I simply dislike the design of the Royal Oak and love the VC.
The AP is nice too, but I almost feel that people who don't know watches, or are new to the hobby, see the AP everywhere, on every other celebrity's wrist or garish iced out versions and think "that must be the one!" And they don't look beyond it.
I just don’t think they’re worth the money for a simple time telling (sometimes date) in stainless steel.
I do think the RO is a legitimate classic and has the history to back up the hype.
ap Is played out and you will get attention from the most annoying people. (Unless you want that)
