Pros
- 7900xt's were $650-690 on amazon just last month
- For £11 more you could build an entire PC with an RX 7900XT and a Ryzen 7700 that would give you an entirely different league of gaming performance.
- I have a newer AMD card(7900XT) and a newer Nvidia card(5060) and I’ve had zero issues with the AMD card over the last 3 ish years
- Im wondering if it's even worth "upgrading" from my 7900xt, which at the time of purchase, I thought was fairly future proof with it's 20gb of vram.
- My 7900xt/i5-12600k has no problem getting amazing frames on max settings in most games, so with your rig you'll be well ahead of me.
Cons
- The 7900XT can absolutely do RT, just not as well as the NVIDIA cards. Also has FSR which is generally not as good as DSSL but it's not like resolution upscaling is completely lacking.
- Going from Hellhound 7900 xt to AsusRock 9070xt
- and in a month or three, 9070 non xt mysteriously loses 100-150 from the price... just like they did with 7900xtx and 7900xt.
- Sapphire Pulse 7900XT
- Pushing it with a 7900XT and 7800X3d. Certainly cannot max it out in many games.

Parent context: the 9000s made the 7000s irrelevant Reply: They're still great cards but unfortunately they're just not coming down in price, if they were like even $100 less they'd be in a great position. I have a 7900xt and there's pretty much no reason for me to get a 9070xt
The computer runs great. I just wanted a completely top-of-the-line computer
For reference, I replaced my 1060 with a 7900xt this year. If your current system does everything you need it to do, why not wait?
