Pros

• 1. No, as you can see in the teardown pictures there is barely anything that can create coil whine to begin with. Also, no noises from the power brick either.
• The OSD menu of the monitor is simple and thanks to the joystick the navigation is easy. Most of the features are self-explanatory, and I did not notice any translation errors. I have not seen the previous model, but I know from reports...

• With this monitor and its 1152 dimming zones it is actually viable to use local dimming on the desktop in either SDR or HDR. The monitor achieves this by dimming down larger areas at once, and the transitions are hard to spot.
• Xiaomi manufactures a massive range of appliances so it's not surprising that the build and especially plastic quality here is very good. Impressively so for the price.
