Pros
- For $1800-2200 imo titan (not noir) is the best at that price bracket
- If brightness is that important then iirc only xgimi titan is very bright
- I’m using an Xgimi Titan I spent $1,700 when it was originally $4,000. ... the Titan was just a bit better and because of that outrageous price mistake by the seller, even cheaper so it was a no brainer.
- Xgimi titan (not noir) has been below $2500 recently but now back to full price $4000
- But there are some powerhouse projectors coming out with serious brightness. But the key is having enough contrast and good enough blacks to counteract the brightness to keep images from looking washed out. That type of projector is pric...
Cons
- Im incredibly disappointed by many aspects of my Titan but it was less than 1/2 the price of an NZ500 and 1/4 of an NZ700
- Parent context: For $1800-2200 imo titan (not noir) is the best at that price bracket Reply: true but sucks for gaming
- personally i'd skip the xgimi titan if you want to game, on "the hook up" recent video he measured its input lag at 4k60hz at 32ms while the rest were under 20ms and it dropped frames at 1080p120hz and 240hz

But there are some powerhouse projectors coming out with serious brightness. But the key is having enough contrast and good enough blacks to counteract the brightness to keep images from looking washed out. That type of projector is pricy though. But if that's what you are looking for, I'd look at the Xgimi Titan line
A WORTHWILE projector upgrade would be a Valerion Max, XGIMI TITAN (MY Rec), Hisense XR10, Epson LS series, JVC NZ500, etc.
The modern models I have tested or own, like the Valerion or the XGimi Titan are very quiet, and a good deal quieter than my JVC. Closer to the Sony.
If you’re gonna drop 4 grand, do the Xgimi Titan (not Noir). Get it off of B&H.com and save yourself some money. When you’re REALLY pushing image size actual usable lumens do matter.
