Pros

• Wine Folly is a very accessible one for beginners.
• I think books have helped me such as "The Wine Atlas" or "Wine Folly".
• If you just want to figure out how the labels work and how to find sweet vs. dry wine etc., Google can take you far and things like Wine Bible and the Wine Atlas (and probably even Wine Folly) should be helpful.
• Still the easiest site to use for the basic info
• Wine Folly or Windows on the World are both solid books that are easy/quick reads.

Cons

• Parent context: There is more accurate, because the site has a lot of collaborators and seemingly inconsistent reviews. Still the easiest site to use for the basic info Reply: Basic information, if it is wrong, is still wrong information...
• when Madeline launched Wine Folly it was so full of errors and misinformation. There were a bunch of us, seasoned wine pros, who used to help correct her content. Then we realised that was exactly her aim; to get free editing.
• WF is for the laymen who start getting interested about the world of wine. It is meant to spark interest, youthful, cool and probably very useful on a social media level. By no means its deeply academical or scientifical.
• A number of people have raised similar questions with me over the years, often whenever something I said in class contradicted something written by Wine Folly. Every time that happened we looked at a range of primary and secondary source...
