Pros
- Gibson is a great guitar (maybe even a slight overkill for a beginner).
- Personally, I don’t buy Dean guitars, I’m more of an ESP or Gibson kinda guy.
- I own some high end gibsons
Cons
- This is almost certainly a fake gibson
- Much like how everybody associates Fender with blues and country or Gibson with wealthy lawyer/doctor types that don't really play.
- The immediate things that didn't sit right with me were the poker chip around the pickup selector (although in hindsight I think it's because the switch tip is usually not black on a white custom), the gold looks too bright, the headstoc...
- I've never really been into Gibsons, but that sounds rad. Gimmie *that* kind of creativity and innovation and risk even once every decade or so and I'd be a brand fan.
- In 2001 they sold out to Gibson (which honestly, Gibson guitars QC is extremely questionable)

The immediate things that didn't sit right with me were the poker chip around the pickup selector (although in hindsight I think it's because the switch tip is usually not black on a white custom), the gold looks too bright, the headstock looks a tad small which made the tuners look too big, the bottom of the body is a little bit off, I think it's a bit rounder. I'm pretty sure that's the wrong bridge, with a closer picture one of the main tells on a bound fretboard is that the frets will go over the binding whereas an actual gibson will have binding nubs on the ends of the frets.

Its a shame Gibson doesn't send them like that from the factory.
Parent context: Just do not feel right in my hands Reply: Yeah, the Strats are better for larger hands. The Gibson scale length makes the frets feel too tiny for me.
