• Nightbitch and We Need to Talk About Kevin both focus heavily on the impact society has on women to become mothers.
• I loved We Need To Talk About Kevin and I DO have kids. It's one of those books that really looks at the harder side of parenting when so much of life just glosses over it.
• We Need to Talk About Kevin is one of my all-time favorite books. It's awful in the best way.

• Parent context: I think I'll probably try watching the movie adaptation of *We Need to Talk About Kevin*. It'll be much less of a time commitment at least and I wonder how much of what I found too uncomfortable to read will be translated...
