Dredge

Pros

• Among recent games, Dredge was pretty affective.
• Think like the video game Dredge, but in book form. Thats what Im looking for.
• Dredge is something I've wanted to play for ages and held back because spooky stuff is usually not my video game flavor. Recently though I've been trying to challenge myself and I think this will be easier than Resident Evil 2 was.
• I very clearly remember how lost I was in the experience, obsessively tracking down unusual fish and doggedly following objectives. I was so locked in that, when I achieved the bad ending, I sat back and smiled. It had all come together....
• I think of Dredge as kind of a cozy game with a tight fun gameplay loop. Its got a killer atmosphere that's horror themed but I wouldn't really call it a horror game. ... I think its a fantastic game doing its own thing.

Cons

• Parent context: Picked it up and played for maybe 8 hours but eventually put it down because I was just bored. I saw the grind ahead of me and just couldn't be bothered. Reply: I had the exact same experience.
• The horror doesn't simply not work, it's flat out annoying. You go out to fish, you arrive at your destination, it's cozy while you fish for 30 seconds, but then it's already night time, and now you have to race back to town while being...
• I enjoyed my time with the game and would recommend it at a discount (<15€) for people looking for a relaxing game to unwind with after work, featuring light horror elements. However, I can't quite understand the hype on Reddit and YouTu...
• Yep it's an island or two too long without introducing anything new. Unless you're a completionist and need to get all the fishes, you're probably going to get bored before the end of the game.
• It’s nicely put together but Over hyped and style over substance. ... There simply wasn’t much game to he had for the mo money - I think it was 29 quid on lease, but had £10 content - and they have the nerve to charge for dlc
