UniFi Cameras

Pros

• I have indoor-only Unifi cameras outside next to my chicken coop that have been running for four years witih complete exposure to the elements. They look like they've been through hell and back but they still run.
• You can use Unifi cameras or doorbells if you don't already have any.
• My recommendation is unifi cameras but they will be more expensive than whatever this guy is selling. With the unifi equipment i have total control over the system and it has local control in addition to cloud access.
• I used unifi cameras at my old house. Those stayed because the next guy wanted them, but the rest of my unifi equipment came with me.
• UniFi cameras have literally been a life saver for us.

Cons

• I don’t have any regrets after reading people’s posts with the intentionally hobbled ONVIF implantation on UNIFis cameras.
• I still have to go pull down the rest of my unifi cameras, but, this should be plenty to get started automating the new house.
• The UCG-Fiber does offer NVMe storage for cameras, thought UniFi cameras can get spendy.
• My Unifi cameras have alarm sensors built in as smart audio alerts and you can schedule webhooks to fire when they are activated... but... they are notoriously inaccurate. My business alarm gets identified as a car alarm, glass break ala...
