I’ve already done the work of drilling the holes in the office, I would just need to run a couple to the closet in the room, as I only have 2 wires PCs, a wired printer and my UGREEN NAS, so I don’t really have a need for a bunch of equipment.
After struggling with a complex setup, I ended up switching to a ugreen NAS. It's more beginner friendly, pretty much plug-and-play.
And may people just opt for a pre-built NAS with its own software, like those offered by UGreen, UniFi, and, popularly, Synology.
