Pros

  • This looks crisp!
  • After being surprised at the size of the Doorbell Lite; I see now why people have a hard time figuring out where the doorbell button is on the G4. Maybe the giant button on the Lite isn't such a bad thing.
  • LOVE the new doorbell lite if only for the instant communication! 1 second from doorbell push to notification, another second to talking back.

Cons

  • I wish the doorbell lite worked with the existing two wires most people have today.
  • I’m not using a UDM pro, 2 U7 XGS, 1 Express 7, an Agg switch, 5 x 2.5 Gb flex switches, 2 Gb flex switches, 1 x 16-port Pro Max PoE, 1 x 16-port lite PoE, 1 flex switch for my shed, doorbell lite (yet to be installed), G4 Doorbell, 1 x...
  • even the Reolink looks better than Doorbell Lite. They really dropped the ball with the styling of these. Worst looking Unifi prduct in a while.
  • Mine was so aggravating to install. Between the badly designed cat 6 connector, the damn rubber grommet that won’t stay in place, the two specific holes the mounting screws must go in and the idiotic hard to align locking screw, what I t...
  • They left like no room for the cat6 at the back of this thing and no strain relief I owned could fit. I did not have fun.

Mine was so aggravating to install. Between the badly designed cat 6 connector, the damn rubber grommet that won’t stay in place, the two specific holes the mounting screws must go in and the idiotic hard to align locking screw, what I tough would be a 2-3h install ended up taking all day.

Coming from a Reolink PoE door bell, the field of view and aspect ration is completely different cause you to see less of the image, horizontally. I havent found a way to change this in the UI.
