Ubiquiti UniFi Cloud Gateway Max

Pros

• The UCG-Fiber, Max and Ultra and the entire UDM series (Pro, SE, Max) support the same amount of categories for IDS/IPS and up to 55,000+ with CyberSecure.
• Maybe a UCG Max instead of the UDR7?
• If you desperately want 2.5G for your internal-only network, such as between your desktop with a 2.5G NIC and a NAS/server with a 2.5G NIC, then just get a Cloud Gateway Max.
• Why not something like a ucg max or fiber? It’d run your UniFi controller too.
• If you want cameras in the future, get the Cloud Gateway Max or Cloud Gateway Fibre, as the Dream Router only uses SD cards for storage and can only support a couple of cameras.

Cons

• I am in the same boat. I got a Cloud Gateway Max and a Flex 2.5 PoE a month and a half ago and now I ordered Cloud Gateway Fiber to replace them both. I wish I knew
• Cloud gateway max with no storage
• Went to setup my new UCG-Max and realized that it has a grounded power supply, but the UPS that my current EdgeRouter X and fiber ONT are plugged into is ungrounded. Furthermore it seems that the UCG-Max uses non-standard USB-C(5V,5A)
• the UCG-Max doesn't supply PoE
• Just an FYI, the SSD in the UCG-Max is only for Protect (NVR) and cannot be used as a NAS (afaik).
