Lutron Caseta

Pros

• I second the idea for lutron caseta and pico remotes. No wiring required for picos and you can get mounts/plates that make it look like a standard wall switch.
• I hear good things about Caseta. Maybe it's time i give it a try.
• Lighting, Philips Hue and/or Lutron Caseta if you want the best control.
• I use Lutron Caseta switches for overhead lighting such as this (really anything with a wall switch), and Hue for lamps.
• Lutron Caseta doesn’t require a neutral wire.

Cons

• I can understand the contractor not wanting to use Caseta close to the device limit, in the end they have to support it and it might require some creativity to make it work (and risk for them).
• Lutron caseta is often recommended too, but doesn't have scene controls.
• I’m not looking for something like Lutron Caseta, where I’m replacing the physical switch itself.
• I use a smartthings hub and most of my devices are Kasa plugs and Lutron caseta switches.
• I use Lutron Caseta throughout the house but they are pretty thick and I don’t think they’ll fit in a shallow wall old work box.
