Again, another name mismatch, oh well. TSA for some reason did not accept his ticket after it was fixed. Told him to go back to the help desk. They reprint the ticket where the Delta rep said “I don’t know why TSA turned you away. So I wrote a code on there to let them know you can pass”
Flew into JFK yesterday from Rome and with global entry customs was instant but even with TSA precheck going back through security took about 1.5 hours. Pretty miserable but definitely airport specific and time/day specific.
Going to the US: the TSA is a new level of frustration. We ended up having to re-work plans to effectively spend hours at the airport as the wait/delays were so unpredictable.
Sometimes the check bag lines are long, and then the TSA lines are almost always long too.
