now if I’m traveling to do work I’m using a track saw and a miter saw and between those (and a jigsaw) I can do about everything.

Track saw. Makes working with sheet goods just a whole lot easier.

probably a higher chance of nailing it without any wobble with a track saw or at least a guide

you could also get away with just using a cordless saw and a straight edge and some clamps but the track saw will give a superior cut

assuming you want both butcher blocks to run in their proper direction (parallel to the respective back wall) and meet at the angle in a miter, a track saw would probably be your best bet.

Next after that - get a track saw. I used a circular saw and a really nice homemade edge guide for years until I finally caved and got a track saw. Was immediately annoyed that I didn't get one sooner.

A good track saw is good for building cabinets and other finer woodworking type stuff.

I would love a track saw for the ease of use and precision

No clamps, cuts right on the line—no saw base offsets. Dead straight ripping or crosscutting, long or short. Trim doors, make something just a tiny bit smaller, angle cuts, tapering...

It's one of those tools that doesn't make sense until you own it and use it for awhile. It's saved my butt 100 times and made my life way easier and sped up countless jobs.
