I would recommend 3 cup cookers from Toshiba, Tiger, or Zojirushi. You want to get one with “fuzzy logic” or “micom” that has a computer which monitors everything to produce perfect results every time. Toshibas are cheaper than Tiger and you can find Toshiba and Tiger models with ceramic pots.

I have a larger Toshiba and love it, except I started putting the snap-out inner lid in dishwasher. BIG MISTAKE! Do not put that inner lid in the dishwasher because it will not only tarnish it the first time you do, but will start to corrode the metal if you continue putting it in dishwasher.

I’ve got a new Toshiba. Love the ceramic bowl and it comes in all kinds of sizes. My 3 cup model even has an egg mode!

Toshiba uses a white ceramic non stick. It looks and feels great but I don’t know enough about these chemicals to know how innocuous it is.

I also have both Zojirushi and Toshiba. And am shocked how good the white ceramic finish is.
