I would recommend 3 cup cookers from Toshiba, Tiger, or Zojirushi. You want to get one with “fuzzy logic” or “micom” that has a computer which monitors everything to produce perfect results every time. Toshibas are cheaper than Tiger and you can find Toshiba and Tiger models with ceramic pots.

I highly recommend upgrading your rice cooker to one with some fuzzy logic. Toshiba sells models as cheap as $75 or you can get a Tiger or Zoji. Basmati is cooked perfectly every time.

If you’re in the market for a replacement, get yourself a Zoji/Tiger/Tatung and never have a headache about it again for at least the next decade.

Too many great rice cookers like Zojirushi, Tiger, Cuckoo, et al exist without the asinine customer support to waste time on this brand.

The Tiger brand from Costco is totally fine. Remember just about an inch - inch and a half of water above the rice.

My $75 Tiger does everything a $300 Tiger does with a little homework on my part.
