I have a 65c855 and it’s a great TV.
Yeah I got the C855 in 65" last week, and I'm very happy with it. A slight, but not substantial upgrade over the C935 I used before. Especially appreciate how quick it starts, image quality is slightly improved, brightness especially.
I always wanted the C855 after seeing it in store, but it was as expensive as the LG C3 I got last year (€1300), so when it finally dropped to €800 I couldn't help but think I should get it.
I'm trying to roll back to an older firmware version on my C855, I've followed all the instructions I can find about which is: Get the right .IMG file, copy to a FAT32 USB stick, power down the tv fully, then hold the power button on the tv itself until the rollback install begins. My issue is with the last step, it never gets to the rollback, it always just takes me to the android recovery menu.
My C855 had a similar issue but the effect was vertical rather than horizontal.
Had a c855 and now a q7c. I can't tell a difference in the 65 inch model
You can consider c855, last years model and it is pretty good for the price.
I have only the c855 and I got it 3 month ago, I am pretty happy with it, surely newer is better, but the TV is giving me all I want with its price.
So although C855 has 30% more zones, I think the newer backlight technology makes up for it (less blooming)
The C855 will have better picture quality, and is worth the 100 quid bump.
